Why would they put the buffalo down for the burn wounds? They would possibly heal, he obviously wasnt in too bad of shape, he outran that bear.

I think they really should have left it be.. It was injured due to a natural cause and was able to outrun a grizzly, so it should have been left to its own means. And if it had died it would have fed possibly a grizzly, or foxes or whatever?
