Hackers Target Gene Simmons Websites After Panel Comments

A group of anonymous members launched denial of service attacks against two websites that belong to Kiss bassist rock star, Gene Simmons.

The Guardian reported that GeneSimmons.com and SimmonsRecords.com became the latest victims after only a limited number of Anonymous members decided to attack the website.

The hackers call themselves the Anti-Bureaucracy Contingent and according to a manifesto published online, they disagree with the decision taken to continue attacks against Gallant Macmillan's website.

They targeted Gene Simons' sites after his comments made during a panel on building entertainment brands: Simmons was quoted as saying, ""Make sure your brand is protected. Make sure there are no incursions. Be litigious. Sue everybody. Take their homes, their cars. Don't let anybody cross that line, The music industry was asleep at the wheel, and didn't have the balls to sue every fresh-faced, freckle-faced college kid who downloaded material. And so now we're left with hundreds of thousands of people without jobs. There's no industry."

It's very revealing when Gene Simmons is advocating taking away the homes, cars, and the livelihoods of people (mostly kids) who are way less fortunate than he is. In a just world, Simmons would lose his undeserved wealth and over-indulgent lifestyle to all the people he intends to starve through financial ruin. That man must really hate himself.
