I've always been allergic to the traditional cadences ingrained in many of the post Beat poets who over time always utilized the upturned, questioning tone on the last syllable or two of every line or phrase,...reminding me uncomfortably of the similar reading styles of the Rabbi reciting texts, and Jewish joke telling,...and ofcourse the funk bop rhythms of Rap. But she doesn't- more like smoothness the tenor sax, still as fast as bop, but smoothed out with the right amount of swing!
