This video demonstrates a new technique for predicting instantaneous cutting force vectors in the course of milling processes. The method does not require a-priori knowledge of material properties and coefficients; it builds up the force equations on the fly, on the basis of currently measured forces and simulated cutting geometry. The machining and the simulation run in parallel, but the simulation is a little ahead of the machining. The machine configuration seen on the video has not been built in practice yet. The video presents a possible application of a recently created mathematical algorithm, which makes it possible to determine the cutting force coefficients in the mechanistic cutting force equations without restrictions in regard to the cutting geometry.
