@Helenafirefly Oh totally. He's pretentious. He kind of manhandles Celine when he dances with her. But then, Celine is neurotic, and does kind of a pull-push, come here-go away thing. That's why they kind of fit together, imho.

I cant watch this film without crying inside; thinking of the depressing space between this and the moment they shall meet again in before sunset. Life is about to teach them reality.

I think that innocence you mentioned lies in their curiosity for each other. It's like a long-exhaled restraint. I like to see spontaneity defended :) Of course we all are not completely free of reality and conformity, but full-time dreaming is just outside some people's control, especially the passionate, artistic mind.

I actually do believe their love is genuine, but under other circumstances it may not have been the same. The two argue between themselves that the business of everyday life makes for mundane activities. These activities are completely absent in their night together. Not only do they have no plans for what they encounter, but they have an innocence in their demeanour. If each and everyone of us were spontaneous on a regular basis, maybe true love would have better success in finding us.
