Korean Starcraft Tournament

The beginning is a bit boring and slow, but the end is amazing. They gather thousands of people for simple tournaments in Korea, Starcraft always being the headliner.

The victors have legions (tens of thousands!) of fans following them in adoration, and some games can stretch on as long as 14 hours, with a break every 6 hours to make sure the gamers are hydrated. This particular game was played for roughly $35,000 US.

Starcraft is serious business!

Imagine soccer fans painting their faces, or basketball fans celebrating because their "home team" managed to throw more balls into nets (wow...how lame is THAT?)

if by "other parts of the world" you mean the US, then yeah... Not every country in the world is FPS driven (thank god).
