A new composition by Peter Louis van Dijk (originally performed by the King's Singers) which we took to the Hawai'i Heritage Spring Festival 2007 in Oahu. This performance was at Azusa Pacific University at a High school Chamber Festival. Soloists: Chris Yuvienco & Matt Walsh

BACKGROUND HISTORY:
History of the Africans' view of the white man coming onto their shores and how they experienced the unfortunate disease and suffering that the conquerors brought to them.

  • I remember this exact day. I was in REV's choir. You guys were really good that year. This was my favorite of your pieces to see. lol. Saw it like a crap load of times though. We would all sing it in the bus too. Ha! That was a good year and you guys deserved second =] although fountain valley...not one of my favorites

  • Very powerful choir.. but the sopranos lack of intonation is frightening in the climax of the piece.

  • LOVE the tenor solo! Very nice voice. Very good job by the entire group. I've never heard it done with drums like that, but the rainsticks add a nice touch.
