MUSTAD MARINE: Aug, 2009 - A delivery of a Westsail 32 some 330 miles north to Brookings, Oregon. The passage was timed with the movement of a low pressure system moving through which knocked out the gradient wind pattern that usually blows NW. A day later the wind kicked off again from the NW. The Westsail 32 (short and stubby with overhung weight) would not have made for a good motor sailor into a stiff wind chop.
Even in August the temps along the northern coast are quite chilly.
