Peter Murphy Cover - Cuts You Up

This is me singing a cover of "Cuts You Up", by Peter Murphy. I was invited by this nice covers band to sing this song with them. No rehersals... Pure improvising.

Aparently they had the micro setup for the band's singer voice, so mine sounds too loud, compared with the instruments, I guess... I should have mooved away the micro from my mouth to compensate that, specially at some points of this song. I guess I still need to improve my microphone technique, lol...

@cloud144000: Yes.. But the bottom line here is that as far as I know, the singer is not part of the band. He found them in this bar and saw them singing this song and offered to make an improvisation with them. The singer is the only one here who had no previous rehersals.....

For that, I believe it's pretty imptressive. I don't know how many covers you've seen better than this on youtube...

I was killing time this Sunday night watching PeterMurphy Covers. I wasn't expecting much, but this one was REALLY GOOD! The band kept the pace true to the original song, and the singer's voice was great. I would like to see more PeterMurphy covers from this band...even covers where the tempo isn't as fast as Cuts You Up.

@Thanatosgts Its possible I was a little harsh on the man :P In spanish i did comment that he has a the voice to pull this off 100 times better but he should practice it some more. I have my own reasons for being overly critical... Like i said in my comment everything was GREAT ... but the vocals distroyed how GOOD this cover could have been. I just think that with his voice he could do better. Your right though i was a bit harsh, ITS NOT THAT BAD. HAHA Just giveing him a hard time.

@cloud144000: We all know Peter Murphy is unique but to say this was horrible... You've gotta be kidding! This may not be perfect but, it's far from horrible. In fact this is pretty awsome considering the guy clearly said this was done ad-lib, with no rehersal whatsoever.

I can see you are trying to make a constructive critic but... My advice to you is: Seek professional help. You definitely having something wrong with you're ears, man...
