Read Ethan Mordden's book 'The Hollywood Musical' for a critique of El Brendel and this film. From what I've seen of Brendel he's pretty dire, even for this vintage of film.

I remember seeing this film long ago. I remember supposing what a "future world" would be like. I was about seven.
What is your opinion of El Brendel's "Swedish" act? Quaint or insulting? (Without saying "Bork bork bork!")

Ha ha... I don't mind El Brendel. But I don't think he's very "Swedish". He was born in Philadelphia to Irish and German parents and had nothing to do with Sweden which that might explain why I think he sounds German.
