That is exactly what politics is really about. Look at Arnold in Cali, the political party used his name recognition to gain office. or Ronald Regan. If we want people with knowledge then we should require all office holders to have a Ph.D in Political Science.What would happen? Professors would run the nation, and many of them would not be liked by the average right wing fundamentalist but the nation as a whole would be run much more sanely and 'better' in almost every way
