I have to admit I did have some problems making sure everything was hooked up right.Your videos great..very informative. My problem as it was..was simply bad phono connections on the amp side..coulb be dirty..maybe a ground problem...not sure..so I did a hammer throw across the street with the Technics amp and grabbed the trusty Kenwood..hooked her back up..and BOOM there it is. ( I was kidding about the hammer throw...) Thank's for the info. c:

@mikkotoivola USB connections don't sound as good, likely due to new turntables low quality internal preamps.
-
Is that a Turbocharger?
-
Why don't you use the USB? Wouldn't that be a lot easier and more reliable?
-
nice turbos
-
@oatstao You shall not use the word's USB and direct connection on a turntable video, unless you want the audiophile's to go postal on you.
-
why is ur camera so darn good
-
why don't you use the USB? Is it not reliable? The most direct connection without extra circuit travel is the best for transparancy and lack of frequency shaping.

@mr230889 rubbish. It's essential for a critical evaluation. Why re-amp a source, degrade it, make it mono and squash the hell out of it? each has an application and he's one of the rare people on line who will take this step. You have to be able to appeciate the difference!!! It's like night and day.
Part 2
I had a jack that came with my Numark turntable. It had two RCA audio cables on one side and a 3.5" cable on the other. So since I figured that I can run it from the reciever to the computer, we put the RCA jacks on the "tape record" outputs (I tried other outputs but they sounded a little tinny in Audacity). After fiddling around a bit, we ended up getting some incredible recordings running through the BBE, which I didn't expect to be able to do! Thanks a lot for this great tutorial.

Dude, Your a genious! Let me tell ya though, the sound coming through your speakers at the beginning sounds awesome through your cam. What are those speakers? They look old school, but they sound great, Your cam also has a decent mic for me to hear that and what about that AT cart? It sounds real nice through your set-up,

@stringchild1 Thanks for the good words Dale! if i had an extra $200 to spend, i'd have that Pro-ject you have! the speakers are Sansui AS-200's that i picked up from Goodwill for $7 each. they are 3 way speakers with 10" woofers. the cabinets weigh about 38 lbs each.
the cart is the Audio Technica AT-440MLa, i bought it based in it's rave reviews, and tracking ability's. no inner groove distortion, i'm very happy with it.

Cool tutorial! I already know about all this stuff, but it could be useful for people who don't.
