I have had a project in school when I gathered facts about jimi hendrix and that was his first electric guitar (secondhand :P)
he used too sit and pretend to play guitar on halm (I'm swedish so this might be wrong :S) then his dad bought him a 1-string ukulele and after a few months this guitar...

I would sure hope that by the age of 16, Jimi Hendrix would know how to sign his own name so, you can give up any crazy idea that the scribbling on the back of the picture is his autograph. If you were truly trying to keep his spirit alive, you wouldn't be trying to get rich off of his legacy. You would spread his love for free like he tried to do. He wanted to play free festivals,without all the comercial, greedy bullshit. Just enough to cover expenses. He said so, himself.
