In 1963 Maurice Sendak's Where The Wild Things Are hit the bookshelves and captured the imaginations of children around the world.

It was only ten sentences long but the tale of a misbehaving boy who sails off to a land of wild creatures has not only stood the test of time but become the world's best known picture book.

Now it's a $100 million dollar Hollywood movie - that's ten million per line for the movie directed by Spike Jonze, the same imagination behind Being John Malkovich.

Dominic Dowden caught up with the cast and the famous actors who lent their voices to the beloved Wild Things including Oscar winner Forest Whittaker.

  • @TheRamenAvenger Firstly, I have no qualms in saying I love the film, so telling me my favorite motion picture (I have no single favorite film, btw) sucked does not offend me; see the logic there, lil' guy?

I just find it amusing you comment on this video saying it made no sense when the plot and narrative structure are really easy to understand and follow. Seriously, this isn't a complex film from a a narrative perspective, so what on earth could have caused such confusion?

  • @NoDirectionHome19 Sorry your favorite movie sucked, don't cry little guy it'll be okay! There there.

  • @TheRamenAvenger It does, you just have to not be a halfwit, is all.

  • This movie made NO friggin sense!!!
