How do you get the Mortar Lance?

It said on Gfaqs that you must level your Lancers to 11, i did, nothing happened.

You have to go into the individual character screen and change their weapon manually.

@Turion10 Yes the EX missions are more like puzzles with one solution, not too much creativity involved.

Just started the EX missions, and this one just killed me, there was nothing I could do. It's kind of tedious having to attack without moving, so you have to know so precisely what you have to do. It's pretty hard to complete...
