@1400deadwood I believe New York was blacked-out from a live telecast, but the network pressured the Knicks to allow WABC-TV New York to show the entire game on tape at 11:30 P.M.
I believe that the on West Coast, including Los Angeles, the game was shown at 9 P.M. Pacific time, a three-hour delay, so the game could be seen in prime-time in all of the country.
@nitestar95 same with the 1973 finals. only 20 secs. of the ABC broadcast from the entire 5 games exist. tho, apparently, that was on purpose.roone arledge reportedly wasn't pleased the NBA left for CBS, so he may have gotten rid of that footage just out of spite
@TheStevebeast So would everyone else. Unfortunately, that happened in an era when not all games were taped; it was expensive, and only the television studios had the equipment to do it, as well as having professional sportscasters. The 100 point game exists only in the memory of the people who were in attendance that day to see it. The rest of us can only read about it. There is no video footage of it, anywhere.
@altfactor - aha! Did not know that. Wish it could have been live!!

Don't forget that this was a great T E A M. That was the difference. But I also liked the 1973 team that had Earl the Pearl Monore.
