Electric Kart test with extra battery

Test run with extra battery, 7 x 12V = 84V. Peat current about 375A, Peat power 31,5 kW & 68,7 Nm. Batteries was not fully charged. The 7th battery is an std. car battery it will be replaced with at high current battery like the others. I think it can make better numbers.

In this video the top speed was 69,4 km/h. But with 7 good batteries the top speed is more than 80 km/h.

@RaceKill pretty cool, 30kW !! If you change the "gear ratio" you can go a lot faster right? Can it compete with a KF1 or KF2 class kart?

The current peak power is 600A at 86V = 50kW and 110Nm.

It’s a choice of speed and acceleration. But if it is to high gear the motor will easy get too hot and some tin in the motor will melt...

How much costs the motor? I have search a price list on all the LMC-motors but without result. Do you have a price list?

@RaceKill 600A !!!! Holy crap !! That's a lot ! The datasheet of the motor says 400A Peak. Carefull not to melt it !! :D But as i was saying, using the right set of gear discs you can sacrifice torque/accel for top speed and vice-versa, i think...
