A quick and simple guide on how to install the epson r285 continuous ink system. Which is cheap, fast and easy to use.

Some key notes:

Keep ink tanks level with base of printer.
Make sure air filters are pushed in tight, without forcing and breaking the tank.
Make sure when fitting ink system in printer that it is actually clipped all the way in.

For problems with changing ink levels please see our other video.

Have a great day from 3000rpm.

  • it really depends on how you treat the printer on how long it will last, i know people still using the old r200 printer from 4 years ago and still buy ink from us monthly

  • I own 2 of these printers and have 2 slightly different CISS for them , they work fantastic for photos and also CDs / DVDs. I have printed 1000s and no problems after you figure out the little to use it and reset the cartridge chips after they show "out of ink"

  • Reporting a Scam for continuous ink system. NEVER PURCHASE FROM

FORINKANDMORE They will charge your account and you will NOT receive their product! Please be aware!

  • @ReyKnobiLiTy

Perhaps you had the ink lines to tight causing the head to not run parallel to the stock being printed on. I have been using a CISS system for about 18 months now and I do a lot of printing as I send out post cards of my Paintings. Barry.

  • @ReyKnobiLiTy So what is the difference with plugging factory cartridges in and this system every week? In all reality this should be MORE reliable because you never remove the cartridge exposing the print head spigot to air. The only issues with these systems appear to be dripping from the print head from what I read.

  • this kind of system is not good to your printer probably you can only use it until a year or be happy within 6 months.. because it can cause massive damage to your printerheads and it will clogged your nozzle.. I KNOW I TRIED!

  • Hi, many thanks... David

  • try ebay. that where i bought mine and it worked wonder and save me a whole bunch... oh yeah, paper quality counts too, dont buy the cheap stuff, go for the more expensive product....example, like say HP photo paper - go for the advance, if u go any higher or lower ur srewed man....
