A documentary on the Kirov School of Ballet in Russia, narrated by Princess Grace of Monaco. This film is VERY popular and takes you into the lives of 3 central characters. These three characters are Angelina Armeiskaya, Elena Vorontzova, and Alec Timoushin.

Angelina Armeiskaya currently teaches at the Kirov Academy of Ballet.

Elena Vorontzova danced with the Kirov Ballet as a soloist until her retirement; she then became a teacher at the Vaganova Ballet Academy a.k.a. Kirov School of Ballet.

I have searched for a very long time and have found NO information at all about Alec Timoushin. If you have any questions about other questions just comment and subscribe and I will try to give you the information seeing as I know a lot about these people.

This video series was originally uploaded by Mad-About-Mariinsky. I do not own this film and neither does the other uploader.

  • @Maui900 your page says the vaganova ballet academy in LA. What is that?

  • She was an amazing teacher! She was so specific and direct for all of her corrections. She made every student improve SIGNIFICANTLY! I agree completely with balletomane393 that it truly was an invaluable expirience.

  • wow!!! that is VERY cool! :)

  • Olá, eu possuo este filme e posso dizer como fazer o upload dele.....

  • 9:07 is killer

  • there is a Vaganova Ballet Academy in LA?

  • I'd love to see the whole film!

  • @bolshoiboy8 There is a vaganova academy in Los Angeles...

  • I would love to see this documentary. It would bring back my year in 1970-71 in Monaco, living with teenaged dancers from all over the world... away from their families, doing dance classes all day... with Marika Besobrasova in Monaco. I loved seeing the Russians come in the summer to take classes... Nureyev who had a house around La Turbie that we had to drive by with all the girls one day.

  • its not a nightmare. vagonava ballet schools produce the best dancers!

  • vaganova ballet looks like a nightmare! O.O
