Rainbow - Noise

Zippy is making lots of noise, tapping his paintbrush on the table and arguing with George while Geoffrey is speaking to auntie on the telephone. Then they hear some workmen drilling outside the house making even more noise. Dawn rings Geoffrey but Geoffrey can hardly hear her with Zippy singing so loudly, Bungle pretending he's using a road drill and the noise of the workmen drilling outside. Geoffrey reads a Tat the Cat story and then Bungle, George and Geoffrey try to enjoy some peace and quiet, but Zippy wants to sing.

It's funny when Zippy and George argue over Zippy being noisy and when Geoffrey can't find the new telephone. Love the part when Zippy says "I'm not making a noise" and George and Bungle's reply "You are". Love Zippy's singing at the end he's so funny. I haven't seen this fantastic episode since it last aired and really enjoyed seeing it again. Thanks so much for sharing it Peter :)

When I woke up I was pretty sure it had been an actual episode but there was always some doubt in case I just made it up in my dream, so I've always hoped I'd come across it eventually- so thanks for putting it online!

This is a great episode that proves the show was still going strong even after its 80s heyday. Zippy singing the theme tune at the end is one of the funniest scenes ever!

This episode holds a unique significance for me. I saw it back in 92 but had pretty much forgotten most of the episode. Then about 5 years later when I was having trouble sleeping one night I dozed off lightly in the early hours and dreamed the first 5 minutes or so of this episode, with the whole telephone business and the 'Bungle speaking' joke!

so when i start to talk quietly, then people cant hear me on phone and say

your not talking clearly.

as i only just go to sleep as when a sleep dont hear any thing

as such a deep sleeper
