  • The CEH course (312-50) is a waste of time. Our lab pc was an unpatched windows 2000 machine. The tools and labs we used were outdated. I have never met anyone else who has taken it. It would be nice to hear if I just had a bad experience or if anyone else has had the same experience I had. This was in 2005, so maybe some things have been fixed since then. My experience was terrible.

  • So Jay, does Haja still give his <B>"Holy Grail"</B> to students the first day of class?

  • I took the CEH course in 2007 and we had unpatched boxes, but that was unpurpose when it came to hacking. The outfit I took the course from screwed me out of a $250.00 voucher, but that's another story.

  • I have never been to their courses, but their exams (version 4.0) were outdated as well. I took this around the middle of 2005 and haven't found much value with it. I don't think EC-Council has their act together at all.

A good site that has good info on ethical hacking is ethicalhacker dot net. It is run very well and has current and relevant materials.

  • Are any of the EC certs worth anything now a days?

  • cool info
