3. Definitely agree that colouring the whole goal is better than the outlining/"framing" we do now! It should though start with the LIGHTER colour shown, then the darker Progress shading (from outside inwards) makes more sense and is more intuitive (as well as corresponding with existing scheme).
4. Using 'framing' to denote urgency is OK it MUST be searchable though: eg to "find all goals with end date this week".
2. (cont/...) So we could have the list view (or even the goal map view?) with a (pop-up?) window for selecting filter options; then when someone selects a particular goal they would see the detailed information behind it. That would produce a less cluttered screen and users are already familiar with that style of interaction ("drilling down", general to particular).
2. "3-screen" idea for the iPhone app is radical! The problem is that it might be a bit cluttered on a small screen and maybe hard to read.
As I understand it, right now iPhone apps use a "layered" system (going "general to particular") - eg for your emails, at top level you get a list of all emails in a folder; when you select one, you see (the detail view of) THAT email - ie the contents; if there are any attachments you click on them to view them in their own screen. (.../cont.)
1. Not sure exactly what you mean by "shuffled" goals! NB with playing cards, the word "shuffle" means changing the order to 'randomise' the deck so this might not be such a good word for this function. If you just mean they have been MOVED (out of sight), maybe "shuttle" or "shift" would be a better word.
