  • 2nd hearing, Fine job with all the enunciation! No "lay's" (A-LAY-luia), no hard "Yah's (Allelu-YYAh) - and these are even harder to avoid. Very gentle releases. MUCH hard work went into the nitty gritties of this piece to make it the PRAYER that it was.

  • @qwinkly Thanks qwinkly, your comments are much appreciated. I hope to post some more clips later this month... :) yossi

  • Okay, I have no problems at all with this performance or the overall sound of this choir but why in the world use piano??? It's a capella. If pitch is an issue, very few people in the audience would ever realize if the pitch dropped slightly by the end since choirs always dropped pitch as a group.

  • MrGrigor99 tnx for the reply. I can't recall now why our conductor had the pianist play during this piece. Subsequent performances were done without the accompaniment

  • My HS choir is singing this song, and its so much fun! I sing alto, and its the most fun to sing in my opinion. but i would loooove to sing the bass part! that was amazing. great job

  • I really love this song. We sang this in college and it was such a blessing to sing. This choir's rendition was beautiful even with all the breaths and piano accompaniment. 'Allelujah' being the highest praise, this song will always be a blessing to me and many more! Thanks!

  • I enjoyed this but it is supposed to be sung accapella. Someone made a comment about having men sing it making a difference. Very true, the bass notes at the end are not ment for younger male voices...it's still a great version of the song.....

  • Lovely job. Boy, you can sure tell the difference when MEN sing it, rather than teens. (sorry boys) Sopranos did a fine job avoiding becoming shrill at the top and avoiding distorting the ooo vowels up there, as is often the case. Thanks for an enjoyable 5 minutes!

  • we did this song in college. When we sang it there were NO breaths. It just flowed all the way through. I feel that the breaths in this perfomance detract from the over all effect of the song.
