Chase sequence was reused in Abbott & Costello's IN SOCIETY. Amazing car stuntwork.

A real classic...do you still want me to send my 16mm sound of " Abbott & Costello Meet The MummY.. Let me know..Jeff

The music heard under the opening and closing title was a stock cue often heard in theatrical "intermission" and other "reminder" trailers during the '40s and '50s. This 1949 release, feauring the slapstick climax from "Never Give a Sucker An Even Break" (1941), was one of Castle's most popular Fields "shorts", and stayed in their "home movie" catalogue for years...
Full lenght chase sequence might have been one of the first in movie history!!
It has been more than half a century ago since I have seen it.
Loved it then and still love it today!!!!!
Thanks for posting.
