  • This was a valiant effort, but I don't think this is a play for high-schoolers. No matter how talented a 17- or 18-year old kid is, they simply lack the depth and life experience to understand Albee's play on every level. The kids on-stage are doing a decent enough job; the failure here rests on the shoulders of their director or whoever chose the play in the first place.

  • @dontlayeggs. Bad acting isn't it? she is not vulgar enough!

  • @Ongie i disagree!! it depends on the actor i know a 18 year old who killed the role of martha!!!

  • honestly, it isn't about the actors being high school students. i have seen high school students doing an incredible job with this play, but it's really about what sort of direction the cast has been given. i think the problem the actor playing martha has is that she doesn't have a clue where martha's brutality and vindictive behavior stems from.

  • The girl plqying marthq needs some depth in her acting. SHOUT!!!! Not act like a stupid pissy girl

  • 13 year old children playing middle-aged adults. Fail.

  • @sassa07 yeah...but it's a commendable effort, considering they're hs students. Martha is way more messy and not tense. Blocking in the beginning doesn't make much sense either beyond making them move around

  • @Ongie I completely agree

  • @norba6kat I agree. For one thing, why are they yelling throughout the entire scene? This scene is supposed to be playful. Martha likes to PROVOKE George into anger to see his reaction, but it doesn't help when the actor is CONSTANTLY screaming. This is a sub-par delivery of the lines that ruins the play. It's such a dynamic story but I don't feel that they actually embody their characters well enough to act it out properly.

  • @FilmFreakable o my god thanks lord, this video made me not want to do acting. This is not acting, its seriously a reading.
