notes: psychological and spiritual preparation for marriage is very important. unfortunately this culture is negative. in the Catholic community it is standard for a girl to be a virgin on her wedding day - if not, she'd be pretty upset about it. People have to make personal sacrifices and be disciplined to be chaste before marriage.

Thanks to Fr. Benedict, and his book, THE COURAGE TO BE CHASTE, I never LOST my Virginity, but rather GAVE it to My Bride on our Wedding Night. I was 34. It remains the most precious Gift I ever gave another Human Being. I write this not as a Boast, but as a thank you. I Love this man!
