"For Cello and Birds" is taken from my performance with Wisteriax on March 12, 2011 at 119 Gallery in Lowell, MA. Wisteriax is Karen Langlie's solo project for cello and electronics -- spacy, ambient and very imaginative. I really enjoy improvising with her, and the close attention she pays to the visuals unifies the performance.
I decided to divide our set into sections, and chose a different visual theme to start each section. The theme for the first section was birds, and "For Cello and Birds" consists of this section.
Special thanks go to Walter Wright and Mary Ann Kearns of 119 Gallery, which hosted this event.
I thought I commented on this Emile but absolutely love this one particularly with Karen's wonderful sound track. Happened to watch again after watching your new one on the trombone.

Echo the kudos Emile and Karen. Lovely and intricate collaboartion. Emile the mix of efx and reality in your imagery think this is your best yet. Karen I really like the strained intense rawness in your processing and tone.

Kudos to both you and Karen. This is lovely. I especially dig the effect where it looks like you're using green sea glass as a lens. Keep up the good work!

Thank you for posting thid Emile! I missed a lot of the subtleties of your piece during the performance because I was concentrating on the music & had a strange viewing angle :) Just beautiful!
