Dr. Pepper is one of the many drinks that taste like medicine if it's hot. It's SO much better cold. There was this big fad at one time with all the uses of Dr. Pepper. Whether it's soaking a ham or making marinade for pork, they came up with any kooky idea for it. I used to drink my weight in Dr. Peppers.

I was a kid in 1964 when they ran this promo. The supermarkets had Hot Dr Pepper sampling, and almost no one tried it.
I like Dr Pepper, but this stuff was pretty awful. For one thing, when you poured it into a large pan and heated it, it lost its carbonation and went flat.

Mmm ! Just heat up some Dr Pepper on the stove until it steams, and add a slice of fresh lemon... And then run screaming into the streets wondering why you've heated up soda in a damn pot. Happy Holidays, everyone ! I've lost my damned mind ! Mmm ! More hot soda, please !! ;-)
