A video of the boss (Dollop) in the fifth area of Equinox - Quagmire. This monster takes forever to kill because of its high health and constant bouncing. This is probably the only boss fight where magic is useful.

  • BTW, another probable reason why Dollop took so long to kill was that I had to use the Twin Knife instead of the Sword you get in this stage. I think the Sword is stronger but it's just too slow.

  • Bloo-oop! Blip! Blop-p! It's Dollop! Lord of all Blobs!

By the way, did you use an emulator or the real thing?

If it be the SNES than I gladly tip my hat to you!

  • I used an emulator since these have a built-in record movie function. I'm not sure how to obtain a movie using an actual SNES. I have beaten this game on an actual SNES way back in the past though. Seeing all the videos of old games here on Youtube gave me a nostalgia kick. That's why I replayed the game again (and created/posted the videos).

  • god i love this game, its really hard but i beat it

  • Equinox came before Family Guy.

But all the same, I suppose the character Quagmire has a lot in common with this Guardian....

    He's a total slime.

  • hahaha the area is called Quagmire...family guy, you permeate time itself!

    lol

  • Man, I wish I still had this game!! Argh, my friend borrowed it forever! This is my favorite boss. ^^

  • The Sword is stronger on dungeon demons but I think you'll find that the strength of a weapon doesn't affect the hit count of a Guardian or Surface World denizen. (Flashing Trolls are a dead giveaway of this)

I used to count the number of hits on Trolls/Werebats and Guardians purely out of curiosity.

In other words... they have a fixed amount of power.
