This song came from a performance of the Nashville Early Music Ensemble at the Parthenon at Centennial Park in Nashville, TN on Friday, April 18, 2008. The ensemble is designed to perform the vocal and instrumental music of the Medieval and Renaissance periods as well as traditional folk music from several world cultures. The twenty-member ensemble features musicians with diverse music backgrounds but all with experience in early music. The program included music of the court, folk songs, liturgical music and cantigas. The director is Dr. Gerald Moore, a retired music professor from Lipscomb University, who taught music theory and directed the Lipscomb Early Music Consort for over twenty-five years. I echo and add to the sentiment of others who posted in Spanish to this vid:

"Cucú" is a rowdy, raunchy song that has been bowdlerized in this performance by tampering with its villancico structure and explicit lyrics and by slowing its jaunty tempo down to a dirge.

Nice instrumentation, though.

Please consider a faster, uncensored --i.e. faithful-- redo.

Or if explicitness is not your cup of tea, please respect the song by not playing it.
