I saw him in a Borders in Gresham, Oregon (Portland metro area, where he is from) when he was just starting out, and my jaw was dropped the entire time in amazement. Great guitarist, and I am a loyal fan! I wish I could play guitar as good as he does.

this guy change how I looked at guitar. When I first started learning two years ago I went and saw him, and was astonished. He showed me what a guitar could do. everytime I listen to him im pushed to try harder and harder. and really hone my abilities. I am no where near Doug, but seeing him did make me better. I still listen and am baffled! I am so much better at my guitar thansk to him!
