Muskrat - Fontenelle Forest

A muskrat swims around the marsh collecting plants. It eventually comes onto the bank and eats some clover blossoms for a while before heading back into the water. This was filmed in June 2002 at Fontenelle Forest, in Bellevue NE, just south of Omaha.

the thing i like about muskrats, is there easy to trap and fetch a decent price.

That is one fat and happy muskrat. Reminds me of a long-tailed, half-aquatic guinea pig.

a muskrat waddled slowly across from me during my trail jogging......it wasn't scared....it must be use to humans.
