Does yours go straight to max speed? Both mine and mum's do 3 mins of 1200 before going up to 1600rpm for 2 mins at the end!

Hiya, Yer mine goes straight up to 1400 in stages. It only does it on Cottons though. If you select the Spin Only programme it does the same as what u said.
If your washing a large load it sometimes spins at 1400 constantly for 7 mins, lol
