Skyrim: Dead Follower Bug + Fix

I was wandering around and jumped over rocks, cause the AI is stupid my follower ran off. He wouldn't show up after fast traveling or sleeping, Lydia would say I still have a follower, so I went back to where I lost him and found him dead, probably killed by a giant next to him. I could speak to him and he started following again, well more like gliding :P

i have an other problem i had a follower with me i gave him ebony mail and dragon helmet for somereason he dissapeard and i am sure he didnt die....

Every time I ask my follower to do something, they don't do any thing. The dialogue stays there and I'm forced to exit the conversation. Any help? (ps3)

@oepoepoepoe What if I killed Faendal because I was attacking someone else and he came in my way and then I used reanimate corpse so he could come back to life then he died again and he's now ashes? Can I do something about that?
