  • We have a casual atmosphere and usually packed. it is very common to lay down so people can sit behind you and then people stand behind them...or to lay down so you can see the grips hes working on the bottom etc.

  • @DraculinoTeamTx where in texas do you teach? I am in houston and I am looking for a place to train.

  • The white belt in the background really need to learn how to sit properly and show a bit of respect.

  • @Ubervodka The "white belt" in the background as you call him has 4 stripes. I dont know if any of you noticed that. If hes a white belt under Draculino im sure he knows this move to the t by now. Also, maybe the relationship he has with Draculino allows him to sit the way he is. Its not the fucking military. Its BJJ. Strong bonds are made thoughout training between student and teacher. Theres absolutely no need to be snap and locked 24-7. I think you guys are the only ones who are bothered.

  • Haha ok buddy. Keep thinking that way. Or you can just come down to my gym and see. Tons of kids would be glad to do it if I can't. That are white belts. The strip system makes sense it shows progression through the ranks. Makes sense to me but according to you're logic. Army ranks should be the same thing then? e4, e5, e6 specialist..according to you. Its only there to keep them "happy"

  • @DARQMX I highly doubt you or anyone else is going to "choke my ass out". Stop talking shit on the internet and getting emotional like a girl. Just because someone has a differing opinion on BJJ dogma, doesn't mean you have to have a hissy fit. Stripes don't mean that much to me, I think they're just to keep people happy between belt promotions.

  • @918Anon lol it means almost a year and a half to almost 2 years for a lot of people and pretty important rank as blue is right around the corner. Pretty faggot statement too say a lower rank is nothing, Of course its nothing compared to a higher rank, but everyone obv starts at a low rank. I bet I could find a while belt to choke you're ass out. And I know you are not a black or brown or even purple because no one would say disrespectful things like that for an almost blue belt.

  • @Mataleaoexpert I agree, I am a 2nd strip white belt and my professor who is the best 2nd degree blackbelt in all of New england (in competition mostly) and one of the best teachers never cares about me laying down or sitting side to side. Its all about relaxing before you're next roll.

  • The white belt in the back thinks hes at the beach??

  • @Mataleaoexpert nice counter-argument. A white belt is a white belt imo. I'm not a Gracie Barra guy, tho.

  • @918Anon You obviously dont know anything about Jiu Jitsu...

  • @Mataleaoexpert 4 stripe white belt means nothing.

  • @Mataleaoexpert

I agree 100% ... making a big deal out of the way a student sits ??? I cant believe that... I mean surely if his professor felt it as a sign of disrespect, he would have corrected it ... my teacher has never come down on anyone for sitting 'incorrectly' ... Draculino is a legend ... any of his student are as lucky as they come to have the opportunity to train with such a master ... Respect coming from Gracie Barra South Africa, Cape Town

  • what is that song?
