SWAT Team Kills Restrained Dog for Barking. In front of Child. UPDATE!

UPDATED: Columbia, Missouri SWAT Raid 2/11/2010. Cops immediately shoot restrained dog in front of child, then seconds later fire several more shots.

"The Feb. 11 raid ended with a misdemeanor amount of marijuana discovered and two of Whitworths dogs shot, one of them fatally. Whitworth pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia. "

Whatever the case, I don't see a reason to shoot a restrained dog because it decided bark when a group of people loudly broke into its home. Its painful to hear the dog.. then is shot several more times with family and child present. Officially there were 2 dogs shot, one fatally.

From details, they killed a caged Pitbull and shot a Corgi dog. The boy is 7 years old.

....Imagine the long-term mental scarring this will leave on the family and child.

@maximum411 Obviously the cop who shot the dog doesn't have a good heart, but not all cops would have made the cruel decision to kill that dog though the way he did!!! But when it comes down to it at the end of the day, almost all cops will "follow orders", over following their moral compass like they should be!!! its shameful

I've heard of this happening but this is the first time I've ever seen actual video of it going down and this is just a reminder of how insane our drug laws are. For a little weed, a citizen's home is broken into, his dogs shot and his family terrorized. I think we should send all SWAT teams to Mexico. Let's see how tough they are facing the drug cartels instead of the homes of unarmed American families.

I have seen this video so many times,I always come back to it too remind me that our beloved pets are never safe,not even in our own homes,these officers should be hanging their heads in shame,but I imagine they don't lose any sleep over it.so sorry for the family that had too endure the wrath that our law enforcement can and do inflict
