We have squat toilets here in Singapore too (and other countries). I'm female and I have no trouble with them no matter what I'm wearing. You just gotta get used to it I suppose. Also, apparently the squatting position is better facilitation for...flow.

With the exception of the squat toilets and occasional lack of toilet paper, that sounded a lot like in the United States.

great story, when I was couch-surfing in Shin Imamiya in Osaka (largest slum in Japan last I knew), it was pretty rugged. the guy I stayed with was awesome but his toilet situation was not. It was Japanese style and my girlfriend had a harder time with it than I did so any time she had to use the toilet she went down the street to the am/pm!

Hello Kevin, I just discovered your channel yesterday and im so addicted to your Japanese Eat segments. I was wondering if the rice in the bento boxes or in the inarizushi are hard/dry. I mean, if you leave the rice in the refrigerator, they become kinda hard and not so good to eat.
