LONG LIVE THE SGI. If it wasn't for President Ikeda and the Soka Gakkia pioneer members, most of you wouldn't have ever heard about NAM MYOHO RENGE KYO. The priesthood DID NOT SHAKUBUKU. The SGI on many many occassion saved Nichiren Shoshu. All you temple members learn the history of Nichiren Shoshu. Learn about what happened in the 1940's and what Nichiren Shoshu was willing to do to save their butts. DO YOU TEMPLE MEMBERS KNOW WHAT A SHINTO TALISMAN? ASKED THE PRIESTHOOD WHAT HAPPENED IN 1944.

Maybe there will be reconciliation one day. But according to both The Lotus Sutra and The Goshos, this is an on going struggle that is continues forever. This will ALWAYS be an issue. Both Shakyamuni and Nichiren Diashonin had to deal with such issues through out their lifetimes when it came to men who were priest. We who up hold The Law have to have the courage to challenge people who han an AUTHORITATIVE position no matter who they are. This is what the SGI did.
-
The SGI's primary goal is to spread the teachings of Nichiren Diashonin through out the world. President Ikeda along with millions of members are achieving this goal. Under no circumstances does the SGI challenge the doctrines of Nichiren Shoshu as set forth by Nikko Shonin. The SGI challenges THE PRIESTHOODS INTERPRETATION OF THESE DOCTRINES. The SGI challenge of the priesthoods interpretations are found in The Goshos, the writings of Nichiren Daishonin and his interpretations OF THE LAW.
-
Nowhere in the Goshos does Nichiren Daishonin supports the priesthoods interpretations of his writings. NOWHERE.

I am an SGI member and study the Lotus Sutra and the Writings of Nichiren Daishonin... we uphold and propagate the Law, Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo for ourselves and for all people, the same as you. We just don't insist on the importance on the role of the priesthood in the individual's ability to attain enlightenment. I would like to see in my lifetime a reconciliation between the priesethood and SGI Lay organization.

the ikeda soka gakkai is the root of all misfortune?! well, you're wrong. i have received nothing but great good fortune being a disciple of the great Ikeda Sensei. he is my master in every single lifetime.the Gosho says, "in lifetime after lifetime, we are always born together with our masters can in no way be false." - Nichiren -
