This is an early preview look at 3D-Coat's new Free-form primitives along with a brief look at a new Chisel tool, currently unnamed tool in this video.

Some features have changed with the Free-form Primitives when they were officially released. The color is now based on whatever color you choose in the Painting room. The control dots are also now connected by a wireframe cage so it's easier to see which is which.

Edit: I am very disappointed in Google/YouTube who first offered me the option of revenue sharing on this video. I got permission from the 3D-Coat creator and showed this to Google, but they revoked the revenue sharing option anyway.

  • i asked for this kind of function many many times in zbrush, but they seem did't listen to me T_T

  • @namdoyle Yes it's very helpful. I use it almost every sculpture, even sometimes on characters.

  • I've never heard of 3D-Coat is it a stand alone or a plugin?

  • It's a stand-alone program for sculpting, texturing, retopology, and more. See the description for a link.
