George Rodrigue featured on CBS Sunday Morning News

The story features an in-depth interview with the artist, a tour of Rodrigue's exhibition at the New Orleans Museum of Art, a visit to the Blue Dog Café in Lafayette, and much more, all in conjunction with the show Rodrigue's Louisiana: Cajuns, Blue Dogs and Beyond Katrina (on view at NOMA through June 8th). This will be a major piece on the Sunday Morning show that was seen by over 5 million people.

My father and I live on opposite ends of the US. We love Sunday Morning (SM) and we sometimes share our love of it in conversation. This piece on SM actually made my father upset. LOL. My mom related to me that he couldn't understand how this kind of success can happen to someone when there are other artists out there starving.

I smiled. Took it as a compliment to my own struggles as an artist. But I don't feel that way. You have to work long and hard for success. So kudos to you Rodrigue!
