I love the power of music and so many folk songs have made good use of that power. A 19 year old boy, P. F. Sloan, took the feelings he had for the current events of his time, wrote a song, and Barry McGuire turned it into an anthem that rings as true today as it did then. I took the opportunity to add four new verses of my own to express some of my current feelings. Whether you agree with my lyrics or disagree, love them or hate them, at least you are thinking and feeling. There is too much apathey and thoughtlessness in this world today. Peace and Love to you all.
The songwriting credits were mistakenly given to Barry McGuire instead of P.F. Sloan in this videos title. Although it was McGuire's recording that is most well-known, Sloan was the songwriter.
I love protest songs. Nicely done,
