  • It actually makes a lot of sense, he doesn't mean that just by sitting at your desk you'll write, he means by sitting at your desk, where you're brain is conditioned to write, and sit there, thinking about your words until they start to write themselves down.

  • prick doesnt know fuck about writers block, i've sat at my desk for the past three pissing days, cant write shit, wrote over 100,000 words in a month, but cant write shit, i sit at my desk for 8 hours a day and it just aint happening write now, writers go through it, sitting at your desk does nothing, going to the shop, will probably relax someone, so the brian starts to flood with ideas, anyway not going to waste anymore time with this...

  • Thanks for the great tips

  • maan, why am i not being able to write then! wtf! i've been sittin staring at the blank sheet of paper for like 5 hours, writing 3-4 lines then erasing. and over and over again, now i got 5 lines, and i HATE it! AAAAH!

  • I'm trying to write for a course I'm taking, so I worry a great deal whether it's going to be good. Especially since I'm being graded on it.

I think that's the biggest thing that's making it hard to write.

I didn't do well in my last lesson, and I'm trying to "impress" them with this one. I don't want to get a failing grade, but I guess I can't worry about getting all A's either.

I never got all A's in school, so I don't know why I'm expecting it in this course.

  • Enlightening! I always thought if one does not feel like writing, one shouldn't write. This is how I slack off when writing.

  • It's true what he said about not wanting to write well at first. I read an essay before about shitty first drafts. It makes the same point.

  • Thanks for sharing!
