Typically, a working woman takes the tricycle from her house, rides a jeepney, takes the bus or takes the fastest route to work, the Metro Rail Transit (MRT) or the Light Rail Transit (LRT). If she takes the jeepney or the bus, it takes her 2 to 3 times the time it takes on a train, so she braves the train, where the space between passengers is not even enough for the breasts to breath. At times, the breasts just had to huddle together too.
It is commendable that the MRT had allocated a woman's space in the first coach of the train. Predictably, some men still want to huddle in this packed train, and some women also insist on bringing their husbands or boyfriends to this part of the train, if not for the watchful eye of the guard. But the guard is human and prone to miss some of these transgressions in the melee for space that often results in push and shove. Indeed, women must fight for this space for themselves, if they want to explore wider spaces they deserve, outside the train.
