The Basic Gospel Message

In this world full of darkness, there is a Light, and it is Divine Love. The Light of the World, Jesus Christ, extends His open arms to all mankind.

Catholic Apologist, Mr. Vic Scaravilli, explains the basic foundation of Christian belief -- that God loves us. Everyone can become a member of God's family, and everyone can be happy in this life and in the one to come by sharing in the saving Grace of Jesus Christ.

It's a video about being saved (salvation) how to get it, how to accept it and how to keep it. We'll show you how to become clothed with the purifying garment of Christ.

Why if Vic's classes are so good, are there so few people?

If memory serves, this was an optional class set apart from the regular course he was teaching at the time. Half the class had already heard this Basic Gospel Message lecture and so they didn't come. And also, I think this was in Winter, near Christmas, or after? Near New Years. We got LOTS of snow that year. As in several feet and this class is at night. I literally dug myself out of a 30 foot driveway on a regular basis to come to his classes.

I would love to have a great teacher like that close to my house. What a shame most people are caught up doing worldly things instead of preparing for the eternal.

Like I said, there were extenuating, unusual circumstances which led to an unusually small class size that evening. For contrast, view the Mary and the Bible series and you'll get an idea of how crowded it can get. Plus, that series is really (in my opinion) Vic at his very best. God bless!

Jesus Christ established one Church on earth (Matthew 16:18), "the pillar and foundation of truth (1 Timothy 3:15)." He positioned Peter as the first pope to guide the flock (John 21:15-17), and that position has been passed down through a linage of popes (Acts 1:20) to our current Pope Benedict XVI. And the gates of hell shall not prevail against this Church (Matthew 16:19).

The Catholic Church is the one, holy, catholic, and apostolic church that Jesus Christ himself established and sustains.
