good video, but the guy driving the panoz isnt the best driver, you can see he turns into corners a little too early sometimes and concentrates more on the car in front of him than on his own lap.

he tries to overtake when hes nowhere near it and he doesnt follow his racing line when he gets real close to the porsche.. he only got past when the porsche stuffed up, ill bet it was on his butt the whole way after that if it didnt pass him..

Its no mistake. . . and hes not trying to pass. Hes trying to fill the mirrors of the porsche and trying to get the porsche to make a mistake.

why is it that almost everytime he goes under a bridge the video cuts out a bit?

@c0c0asauce The video feed is sent wireless from the car to the pit, not recorded onboard. Every time he passes under a bridge the signal is briefly interrupted.

im lucky enough to live near salinas where laguna seca is. so i try and make all the ALMS races i can. i have a question though is panoz out of the alms?

yeah i never meant to make it out like he is a bad driver, it is difficult.

i just think that even though your closely following someone, you got up behind them because you were lapping faster than them while you were on your own, so if you change the way you corner once u get up behind him, you could lose a few tenths and find it difficult to pass.

Great video. I'd find it very difficult to stay that consistently fast on such a technical course. Smokin, the only mistake I can see is when he tries to pass at the left hander before the Corkscrew, but that is probably just simple error.

Getting lapped by those GT 1's must be a little frustrating. ;) The Porsche came off the straight-away and into the turn to quickly, got loose on the downshift and went to the brakes. After that , it was clear sailing for the Panoz.
