An episode of a short lived series that ran in 1989, advertised as coming "from the twisted minds of Mel Brooks & Alan Spencer." The show got good notices and was a hit in the UK, but not in America. The creators were not able to get the network to forego a laugh track, although attempts were made to "dial it down." This episode features a funny performance from Lee Garlington as well as no cooperation from the White House
I loved this series, mind, I love most of Mel Brooks stuff.

I saw this episode when it first aired, on CTV here in Canada. It wasn't Emmy material for sure, but it had it's good moments. The content seems pretty tame by today's standards, and that's not a bad thing.

isn't one of the actresses (the bill collector) the one that played Kirsten on Golden Girls?

Oh man! I'd never thought that I would ever see an episode of this show again. I remembered watching it when it first aired back in 1989. This show was hilarious. I even recorded all the episodes back then, but the VHS tape that the episodes were on got accidentally erased. I was really pissed off then that happened. Nevertheless, to see an episode of The Nutt House on here is awesome. Thanks!

I'm a big fan of Brooks, Korman, Leachman and Itzin. I've heard and read about this show for years, but until now I'd never gotten a chance to see it. Thank you for posting this!
