@hahaha1287 , I've tried locking the exposure but the banding issue still wreaks havoc AND the ISO seems to go of the scale resulting in appalling noise in the final scene. :(

assign exposure lock button with the AE-L button in the custom menu and then lock your exposure before shooting on the D90 to avoid that flickering due to the changing apeture while filming.
