  • @AleksandrSolzenicyn I personally, and a few other friends I've been speaking with, have had this sudden urge/obsession to listen to Chopin! Collective consciousness maybe?

  • @b1i2l336 That's because Rubinstein and Horowitz suck. They needed to lay off the pious personal touches which left their covers of Chopin's tunes very much to be desired. You see the guys, having never really been great composers themselves, had to jack around with the only tools they had - the cover songs they played - to remain relevant The professional fellers who play the songs the way they are supposed to be played end up getting relegated to the studio to record generic class cd's.

  • @AleksandrSolzenicyn sorry, my fault

  • @katinaphoto

I can show you some photos with a similar subject that I did nearby where I live. Let me know your e-mail address and I'll will send you something.

  • This is just gorgeous playing, and the edition he uses is correct: the frequent rolled chords, which are absent in Rubinstein and Horowitz's recordings! Only Barenboim and Arrau get it right, and I prefer Barenboim's performance, which is sheer perefction in every way. What a pianist! What a musician! Oh, yes, and Chopin is an amzzing composer!

  • @AleksandrSolzenicyn Where did you find that amazing photo? I would love to use it, but need to find the photographer or agency it belongs to. Thanks!

  • That image.. Whoever had the opportunity to see it, was a blessed one.
