We met Shirley Jones with Shaun Cassidy as they were picking up her husband and his Dad Jack Cassidy in 1966 after It's A Bird, It's A Plane, It's Superman. He had a beautiful voice.

And this Kern and Hammerstein standard, from 1939's "Very Warm for May," was a perfect vehicle for his voice. It was originally on the 1957 American Columbia album "Speaking of Love," and the great Percy Faith did the chart.

Jack Cassidy was a far better singer than he ever let on...and a far better actor than he was ever allowed to express, cast in a succession of roles for which he was, shall we say, over-qualified.
At his early death, the entertainment world lost a truly one-of-a-kind performer.

@librarybob1958 Yes Jack was such a great actor and had a amamzing voice. I so hope the younger people would listen to him sing. Died way to young I beleive jack would have been more successful as he aged. jack had health problems and woud have died way before he was do to..
