  • I took only 3 Levaquin pills, the last on 1/1/10, and I broke out in hives, experienced erratic heartbeat and my leg muscles began cramping. The muscle pain, tendinosis and neuropathy continued to spread to my upper body for weeks until slowly receding. Last Tuesday I started to finally feel better. When I woke up the next day, the whole cycle started again, only faster. By Friday my hands felt like they were on fire. I'm back to hobbling around with ankle braces. Do the relapses keep coming?

  • Yes, it is very normal for relapses to keep coming, sometimes for years. Stay away from all soy products (especially soy lechathin), caffiene, steroids, and only eat organic meats (especially chicken and fish) Everybody is different with these drugs. You could relapse for months or years. There is no way to tell how long it will go on.

God bless you, I will be praying for you.....

    Bob

  • yeah, finished my levaquin and im perfectly fine!

  • maybe not! I'm calling a man tonight, steve, who took levaquin 9 MONTHS ago and just now all of his joints and tendons have been destroyed requiring surgery - and disability. You better keep your fingers crossed. You are not out of the woods until a year passes post levaquin. Anything can happen to you in the next year. I hope nothing happens, but keep a close check on yourself. Anything out of the ordinary could happen (joint and tendon problems, unbearable burning pain, or mental problems)

  • @maggie99516 I know, I had a severe reacation to a combo tetanus vaccine I had in may- I can't raise my arm above my head or lay on it, lift or do anyhting that requires strength. It feels like someone punched me in the arm-ALL the time- right where the shot was! My dr won't even give me tests to find out whats wrong- she says take ibuprophen and give it warm soaks! for 7 months????

  • I was on Zithromax for infected sinuses. My dr prescribed a second round of Zithromax. When I got to the drugstore I was informed that my Ins. co. stated i'd reached my limit for the Zithromax and I was switched to Levaquin! Lucky I went on the web before i took any! I had taken some years ago and now have peripheral nueropathy and fibromyalgia- I'm wondering if the Levaquin I took back then could be the cause of my Fibro and neuropathy? How can u tell? any tests?

  • Thank you, thank you and thank you again. I was just given ciprofloxacin and was assured that it had no bad side effects. I took two tablets and pray I am not harmed by them. I was also given the drug Finasteride. If I take that drug I find out it will increase my chance of developing severs prostate cancer according to the FDA. You know we the public are being murdered by the drug companies. The cures they sell are killing us and our government is assisting them.

  • Bob, I wish I could hug you! Thank you so much, you have described my experience EXACTLY. I had a simple UTI, and I ended up with tinnitus, eye floaters, inability to sleep for more than 2-3 hours, tingling, numbness, my head feeling like it's going to explode, when I lay on the pillow I feel this rush to my head and I wake up my head is pulsating against the pillow! Last night, I had a hallucination, I was so scared & its 8 months on. I took these drugs & it took months to have effect.

  • It was designed for anthrax and we didn't have the big terrorist event the created it to stop so they had to get rid of it or lose money so they gave it to us through the doctors we trusted. I took it and my hands will never be the same.I am a massage therapist and need my hands, I can't sleep well and I have had more depression. I was lucky because I am not disabled, just injured and I can never trust my doctor again. I hope you are getting better Bob. Thanks for uploading this

  • Are you serious? I have been sick for so long plugging through work like a zombie & sleep my life away. As a child I was always sick and have taken these drugs because of being allergic to Pen I have had so many people take advantage of me. First they said it was Lupus & Fibro, now they think its MS since my bladder and kidneys have almost stopped working which I complained about early on when I noticed the decrease only to be swept under the rug with pain meds. Could you contact me please Bob?

  • Wow, God bless you and I am so sorry for your suffering. I was just wondering if you are on a total anti-inflammatory diet to try to help you. I know that seems like a band-aid, but my sister has fibromyalga, was diagnosed at the same time as another woman. My sister is doing good, the other woman is now in a wheelchair. Within a month my sister could tell a huge difference in her mobility. PS, I just finished a script of Cipro. I'm worried and hoping nothing happens. I will spread your word.

  • I was just given leviquin. I've been on it for 3 weeks n was on cypro for 3 weeks prior. My knees, lower back, feet, fingers n toes all hurt. I went off the meds yesterday. I hope that its still reversible this early in.

  • I was given Levaguin for a sinus infection 3 months ago. I was crippled after 3 days of a 5 day perscription. Ruptured tendons - torn muscles - could not walk back and leg muscles torn, ringing in my ears, rashes all over my face - for 1 month I was not able to do anything then I read about this drug on the internet and freaked out called my dotor again because she would not listern to me and the pharmacy would not listen. Finally Doctor listen and made notes.

  • i took ciprto for 4 days. 7 pills total. on the 4th day the joint in my jaw became so painful i could not do anything but lay there and cry. its been 3 days since i stopped taking it and th pain is still present, i am raying it will go away because if it does not i dont know how i can live like this
